Shooters is a short film about obsession. Ultra-runner Ellis Bland is dedicated to not only breaking records – but also to challenging himself, over and over again.

Having grown up in a family of fell runners in Lancashire, he has been running up Shooters Hill since he was five years old. His earliest time-trials were at age eleven, and he has run it hundreds of times since. Running at full pelt on this gravel hill climb requires maximum effort, even for those used to running ultras. On his 122nd recorded time he broke the record – and hasn’t gotten close to it since.
