Insider Network FAQs

The Common Ground insight network

We believe that insight comes from listening to real people. People like you.  So, we’ve built a network that helps us find the views of those who are shaping the culture behind their sport – and are defining what’s coming next.  We then use what we learn for our own research, or for market research projects that we undertake on behalf of brands.

What that means is that we’ll reach out to you occasionally to ask questions, invite you to speak to us in-depth, attend events, or take part in other research activities.

 What’s in it for me?

  • Payment (via vouchers or a pre-agreed payment platform such as PayPal)
  • We spotlight our members – on our Instagram, LinkedIn and Substack
  • Occasional opportunities for wear tests and brand collaborations

What about my privacy?

While we ask you to share personal data with us, we look after it carefully. We comply fully with GDPR legislation; you can read how we use and store your personal data in our Privacy Policy. We share limited data with our clients: your name, location, the organisation you represent (such as the name of a run club or social handle), and occasionally your age, which means that you will be identifiable to them. However, our clients do not have access to your personal data beyond these items.

If you take part you’ll receive full details about the individual project, its aims, the client, what data we will share (and why), and how we’ll use your contribution more generally – so that you can decide whether or not you’d like to take part.

I’ve changed my mind. Now what?

If you later decide that you no longer want to take part you can withdraw from the study – so long as that project hasn’t been completed. Just email contact@wearecommonground.com.

Decided the network isn’t for you?

You can opt out at any time; just email contact@wearecommonground.com and we’ll remove your personal data immediately.
